EduSeries **new!**

Several researches reveal that active kids do better in their studies. On top of harnessing the benefits of rockclimbing, such as developing better psychomotor, cognitive and affective skills, the EduSeries combines learning with play. Here, rockclimbing is an excitingly apt medium for the young ones to get better acquainted with words and numbers while reaching greater heights!

Sports Rock Camp **new!**

Banish boredom and expend all that youthful energy—by signing up your kids for our Sports Rock Camp this May! Besides rockclimbing, the kids will make new friends as they up their fitness levels through a myriad of sports and other activities including ultimate frisbee, water games, sandwich making and a trek through the nature reserve. Sleepover at The Rock School is optional but independence is strongly encouraged! Parents are also welcome to join us for our trek through Bukit Timah on day 2. Otherwise, you need not worry about having to take leave or arrange for drop-off and pick-up—our camp reporting and dismissal time is at 8am on 30 May 2012 (Wed) and 7pm on 31 May 2012 (Thu) respectively. All sports equipment and meals are included. However, kids staying over need bring a sleeping bag.

A, B… C’s for Climbing! (Fun Climb)

Experience the exciting sport of rockclimbing with this introductory workshop! A, B… C’s for Climbing! is specially designed to help first-timers get started in a fun and safe environment. Under the supervision and support of our friendly, experienced RockGUIDEs, the little ones will learn basic climbing techniques as well as get hands on on both top-rope climbing and bouldering! Now, get ready to take your first step uP!

Duration: 2 hours
School fees: $30/pax (20% off for Friends of TRS & PA members)

Hire-an-Instructor

Every one individual is unique, and our hire-an-instructor service provides excellent and focused climbing guidance and instruction for each to further develop him or herself. So, get personal with climbing, and go for our one-on-one service! 

Duration: 1 hour (For specific timings only, and subject to availability of instructors. Please call 9119 9003 to enquire.)

Double Up! (parent-child class)

Double the fun by joining your child in this parent-child workshop! Encourage your child as he conquers the wall… Or, better, climb alongside him and reach greater heights together!

Duration: 2 hours
School fees: $58 for an adult-child pair (20% off for Friends of TRS & PA members)

Step Up (Beginners) + Step Up (Team)

Find your child eager to improve his or her climbing skills? The Step Up programme is an in-depth guided programme aimed at furthering one’s climbing skills through games and other activities. Like the Fun Climb, Step Up! is a structured class that would be led by trained instructors, with all necessary equipment provided. This time, however, it goes deeper into the technicalities of rock-climbing. For example, climbers will learn about the different types of handholds and optimal ways of holding them, as well as various climbing techniques and positions to go into when met with a difficult obstacle while scaling the wall among others. 

Duration: 4 classes of 1.5 hours each
School fees:
For Step Up (Beginners), 4 lessons: $150/pax (20% off for TRS members and Passion Card holders)
For Step Up (Team), 4 lessons: $150/pax (20% off for Friends of TRS)
Step Up (Team) term package, 12 lessons: $380/pax (additional 10% off for TRS members)

Pebbles

The Pebbles programme is created specially to keep climbing affordable and accessible to climbing enthusiasts who are already equipped with the basic climbing skills. During Pebbles time, there will be belayers and spotters on standby, ready for the young climbers as they explore the walls and boulder areas on their own. Highly recommended for independent climbers and graduates of the Step Up (Beginners) programme!

Duration: 8 Pebbles classes of 2 hours each (to be used within 10 weeks from 1st class)
School fees: $160/pax for all 8 classes (20% off for Passion Card holders and The Rock School members)

Note:
1. There may be changes to timetable such as cancellations during the Chinese New Year season or when required by landlord. If in doubt, please contact us to enquire!
2. Package of 8 classes to be used within 10 weeks from first lesson i.e. climbers may miss up to 2 classes.
3. Recommended for those interested to take up climbing for leisure or Step Up team climbers who are looking at more training.
4. Non-exchangeable with other classes.

SNCS Level 1 Certification

To really learn the fundamentals of climbing and be certified in belaying, join us for the Singapore National Climbing Standards (SNCS) Level 1 course. In this 7-hour certification course accredited by the Singapore Mountaineering Federation (SMF), climbers will be equipped with basic rockclimbing knowledge including gear and knots, as well as fundamental climbing techniques and belaying skills. And with that, you would be deemed belay-worthy at any climbing gym in Singapore!

Duration: 7-8 hours
School fees: $65/pax (20% off for Friends of TRS & PA members)
